About the course

This course is aimed at learners who are keen to start a career in the construction industry. It will appeal to anyone who wants to explore the practical elements of the building service and general construction sectors. You’ll gain good hand and employability skills through a wide range of practical elements, and cover some theory areas of the construction industry too. This qualification is ideal for anyone looking to work in construction or building maintenance. During the course, you will experience taster sessions in many construction areas and develop basic knowledge to help set you on the path to a skilled career. The course includes health, safety and welfare in construction; principles of building; painting and decorating; plastering; and plumbing & carpentry repairs.
