This one-year course is ideal if you’re a school leaver with some engineering knowledge and experience who would like a deeper understanding of the role of a modern engineer. You will learn about the role of an engineer, what it means to be employed in the engineering sector, what kinds of material engineered products are manufactured from, and why. You will also use complex machines to manufacture component parts from material such as mild steel and aluminium. The skills and knowledge you gain are ideal for employment as an apprentice in the engineering sector.
