You will learn about the role of a social care worker, and boost your knowledge in adult social care disciplines such as communication, equality, diversity and inclusion, personal development, handling information, health and safety, safeguarding, duty of care, and a person-centred approach.

4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, a level 1 or 2 in health and social care, and clean DBS check

You will need to have a DBS check (fully funded by the college) so please collate all the evidence needed prior to starting the course. As part of our enrichment you will receive talks from guest speakers and former students. Local companies will come in to meet you and tell you about the work they do – if you are interetsed they will interview you and you could secure employment there and then.
