Health & Social Care
Clair Drummond – Foundation Degree in Health & Social Care in her own words
Before Telford College
I’d had various jobs, but when I started looking for work in the care sector, I realised I needed to develop my CV and get a professional university level qualification.
At Telford College
With young children to consider, the course was a big step for me. The college really helped me juggle my studies with the pressures of bringing up my young family. Moving up the higher education ladder could easily have been daunting, but the small class sizes made all the difference. The lessons were taught in a classroom, not a theatre. I also have dyslexia, and the lecturers were great at giving me the extra support I needed with written work and reading.
After Telford College
I went on to get a first class honours degree at the University of Wolverhampton and I am also qualified to register as an approved social worker.
