This enterprise & entrepreneurship qualifications outlines the determination, vision, adaptability and a wide variety of skills that are required to make a business successful.
You’ll investigate the qualities and characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, whilst developing the attributes needed to plan and run a business.
Successful entrepreneurs develop ideas and turn these ideas into a product or service. They do this by having a vision of the future of the product or service and by making this vision a reality.
We’ll teach you what factors you need to be aware of to have a successful career as a business person in this highly competitive time.
Explore the difference between digital and more traditional companies, financial commitments needed and how you can protect yourself as an entrepreneur.
Here is a taste of the units you’ll cover: the entrepreneurial mind-set, creating a vision for your business plan and the business environment.
Career prospects
You’ll gain a qualification equivalent to three GCSEs and improve your career prospects in a wide range of business careers.
Progress to university or a business apprenticeship before launching your own company.
Entry requirements
You will need four GCSEs grades 3-1 including English or maths

- Your course will be assessed through coursework and external moderation.
- This course forms part of a study programme. As part of this programme you are committed to following: qualification study in English and maths if you have not already achieved a GCSE grade C in these subjects.
After the course
You can move onto a range of level three business subjects at the college or consider A levels. Apprenticeships are also an option but you’d be in a better position with level 3 qualifications.
