About the role

Role Overview:

The role involves leading and managing the development and delivery of apprenticeship programmes and recruitment development strategies. It focuses on building and maintaining relationships with employers, stakeholders, and educational institutions to drive the growth of apprenticeship opportunities while ensuring alignment with both business and educational goals.

The purpose of the position is to lead and promote apprenticeships, working to meet individual and departmental KPIs. You will be responsible for driving relationships with employers to ensure that enrolment and apprenticeship financial targets for employer engagement are met.

You will directly manage a recruitment specialist, contract coordinator, and business support team. In collaboration with the Director of Employer Engagement, you will implement the employer engagement strategy and work with your team to cross-sell other work-based learning opportunities to meet the needs of a wide range of businesses.

You will also work closely with the business programme managers for apprenticeships and the directors of curriculum to ensure consistent quality across apprenticeship standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Employer Engagement to develop and implement the strategic vision for apprenticeship programmes.
  • Work with the Business Development manager to work with stakeholders to avoid duplication
  • Work closely with curriculum business programme managers to create and manage apprenticeship programmes that meet the needs of both employers and apprentices.
