About the role

We are seeking a Business Programme Manager in a pivotal role for the employability provision at Telford College.

The team covers the whole of the West Midlands combined authority, as well as Shropshire and Marches regions, so the post holder will need to have knowledge of employment needs in this area and able to manage a diverse team.

The post holder will be creative and innovative while still maintaining strong organisational and logistical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the development and delivery of all employability and distance learning provision programmes to meet financial and KPI’s set.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of curriculum developments in courses, qualifications and funding and actively contribute to the continuous development of a curriculum that meets local and regional individual and business needs, including the development of non-funded commercial provision
  • To work with employers to gain an understanding of skills shortages and then translate the information into curriculum delivery.

Qualifications and training

You will be ideally qualified in teaching or training.

Due to the nature of the role the successful applicant will require a full valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle to visit our partners out in the community etc.

  • Excellent Relationship management skills with an ability to communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to influence, manage and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of funding streams, especially those associated with the Education and Skills Funding Agency
