About the role

Working within an FE college, this role gives support to our student cohort between 16 -19 years of age.

This role is ideal for someone who has worked in role such as a HLTA, Personal Tutor, Skills coach and looking for the next step in their professional development.

This role will be working with our Construction department working in our state of the art centres. The department pride themselves on partnering with local providers and government schemes to improve our sustainability for the environment and teach our future generation the impact they can make to their community working in the field of Construction.

Key Responsibilities
  •  To help plan and contribute to Construction tuition workshops as well as lead on engaging small student groups for those who need extra support or revision time
  • Provide temporary lesson cover for Construction as required
  • Work in collaboration with Personal Tutors relating to the performance of learners in Construction

If you are unqualified in teaching and wanted to gain a Diploma in Teaching (DET), you can learn while on the job and become an outstanding and inspiring teacher in your specialist subject through the Teach in Further Education programme. You will take your knowledge and experience and hone your skills in educating young adults within FE environment working within classrooms while taking dedicated study time.
