About the role

We are looking to recruit a well organised administrator to support our Maths and English Department. The successful candidate will work closely with Academic staff on a daily basis to support the success of the department and to support students throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities
  • To support monitoring and reporting on attendance, retention, engagement, and re-engagement of students on Maths and English courses. Maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of student records. Assist in the follow up of student absences, acting where necessary to support and ensure continuous and effective implementation of the attendance policy.
  • To provide excellent levels of clerical and administrative support for the department including, but not exclusive to, document processing, photocopying, maintenance of filing systems, data entry, fielding telephone calls and taking messages.
  • To coordinate staff sickness cover for the curriculum area, preparing and informing covering staff of sent cover work.

  • GCSE Maths and English or willingness to work towards is required
