About the role

We are looking for a further addition to our Finance Department.

Are you a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in Finance?

Become an apprentice and gain a  Level 2 AAT  qualification as well as a wealth of new skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Finance Apprentice will assist in the provision of a Finance service to internal and external customers of the College. The role is based in the Finance Department and will cover a wide variety of tasks such as income, payroll, supplier payments and accounting. The apprentice will gain experience across all of these functions.
  • The successful applicant will be supported and trained to do all aspects of the job role. The successful candidate will also work towards a Level 2 Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification.
  • Participate in the College’s Performance Development Review and engage in continuous professional development.
Skills, knowledge and expertise

Qualifications and training

  • Level 2 qualification (GCSE A*-C, or equivalent) in Maths and English or a willingness to attain these qualifications with the support of the College.

  • A willingness and commitment to achieve Level 2 qualification in Association of Accounting Technicians
  • Ability to work accurately with good attention to detail
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team
