About the role

An interesting role in our Music department has arisen and we are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced individual to work alongside our ambitious department.

You will be coaching a small group of students, alongside maintaining and ordering equipment for the department.

You will have a passion for music and enjoy creating an engaging environment, with relevant industry experience to support the curriculum delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver small group workshops related to music and music production
  • Be proactive in the day to day running of the music department.
  • Support vocational trips/work experience through helping to source and contact suitable destinations, organise activities for students and attend trips.
Skills, knowledge and expertise

Qualifications and training

Higher level Qualification in Music or Music Production

Working knowledge of Logic Pro Software

Ideally interested in obtaining a Teaching Assistant or Teacher Training Qualification

Skills and expertise

  • Be able to maintain and order resources/equipment as required for the delivery of the curriculum in music. Such as: drum kit tuning/skin replacement, guitar restringing and maintenance, recording studio maintenance, live sound equipment set up and maintenance, basic soldering of cables/microphones etc.
  • Expertise to Assist in the development and delivery of the music pathways at level 3 through small group workshops and demonstrations.
