tell us a little bit about your role...
Graham lives with his partner Laura and their ginger cat Rupert. In his spare time he enjoys playing guitar, and is the frontman of a rock band with whom he has recorded two albums. He loves nothing more than travelling around the UK to play and attend gigs, especially festivals. He is a keen record collector and has an extensive collection of vinyl, and his claim to fame is appearing on an episode of BBC’s Bargain Hunt. In case you were wondering, his team didn’t make a profit at auction!
Graham has worked at Telford College’s for 13 years, and has been the Business Programme Manager for the College’s Employability provision since 2019. He enjoys the challenges that come with working in adult education, and is supported by a fantastic team of motivated and skilled tutors who deliver programmes across the West Midlands Region.
Graham started at the college in 2008 following completion of his degree in English Literature, when he joined the Student Services team as an advisor, before moving over to the Apprenticeships Recruitment team. In 2013 he became the Senior Administrator for the Pre-Employment and Adult Community Education, and later becoming a Contracts Manager in 2017.
Over this period Graham continued to build strong relationships with stakeholders and external agencies to support adults gain the knowledge and skills to improve their career prospects and move into sustainable employment.
Graham also oversees the College’s Distance Learning offer, and has been involved in the development of our Kickstart Gateway.
