Airline job is the dream ticket for high-flying SashaPublished: June 7, 2016
High-flier Sasha Rutter has begun jetting around the world after landing a job with the cabin crew at Monarch Airlines.
The 23-year-old, a former pupil of the Phoenix School in Dawley, secured the job after completing a level three travel and tourism course at Telford College of Arts and Technology.
In her first few days, she found herself jetting off to top holiday destinations such as Palma in Majorca, Tenerife in the Canary Islands, and the Spanish cities of Barcelona and Malaga.
She says she is loving the experience, which is allowing her to live out her childhood dreams.
I thought the course was brilliant for the career choice I had in mind, and pushed me that bit further to go for it,
I would recommend it to anyone seeking a career in travel as there are many different aspects to learn about the industry from customer service to destinations – it can set your mind up for many choices of career within one industry.
Whether you see yourself as a travel agent, a holiday representative, a tour guide or a customer service advisor, the TCAT travel and tourism courses offer a passport to an exciting career.
You can take a look at what the courses have to offer as part of TCAT’s Twilight Tasters week, from June 13-16, when the doors of the Wellington campus will be open from 4.30pm to 6pm.
Potential students can come along and have a go at as many of the bite-sized course samples as they wish.
