Apprentice to full-time employee!

Published: January 15, 2019

Our former apprentice Jack has just landed a full-time position!

Jack Loftus, an ex-student of Haberdashers’ Abraham Darby, joined Fabweld Steel Products in Madeley straight after leaving school.  Now, after completing his two-year apprenticeship in sales through Telford College, he has been given a permanent full-time role as an internal sales advisor.

Richard Hilton, the company’s managing director, said Jack had a ‘bright future’ ahead at the company, which designs and manufactures fabricated steel access covers and associated drainage products.

“We are continually striving to develop and enhance the skills of all our employees and with a staff retention rate of over 90 per cent, we have built an experienced and talented workforce,” he said.

Jack’s former assessor, Janna Reynolds, said, “Jack was a pleasure to work with, always keen to learn and further his knowledge of sales.  He has a positive attitude towards his work and I am confident that he will progress well in his chosen career.”

Our next open event is on 23 January, from 5pm to 7.30pm and you can register here to come in and speak to a member of our team.  Alternatively, you can see a full list of our current vacancies here.
