Eric has designs on a career in the music and film industryPublished: September 6, 2017
Telford College design student Eric Mensah is looking forward to chasing a career in the media after gaining the A Level grades he needed to progress to university.
Eric, 18, from Stirchley, is off to the University of Staffordshire to study media and film after getting a B in art, a B in photography, and a C in media.
The former Park School student, who said he was absolutely delighted with his grades, said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time here.
“The competition with other students has definitely helped me to achieve, pushing me to do the best I can.
“I’m hoping for a career in the media after university – what I really want to do is work on the production or editing side, of films or music videos.”
Eric took part in an arts show at Telford College’s King Street campus this summer, which celebrated and showcased the creative achievements of students.
Lucia Cunningham, teacher of fine art, said: “Many of our students are progressing onto university and apprenticeships in the creative industries, and we wish them success in their future endeavours.”
Eric added: “I would recommend Telford College for independent people – it gives you the flexibility to study the way that you like, and it’s then up to you to do the best that you possible can.”
