A technology company is looking to take on new apprentices as part of an ‘earn while you learn’ partnership with Telford College. Keysight Technologies is a market-leading provider of testing and measurement services for the telecommunications and wireless industries.
The company has positions on offer at its Halesfield site, with starting dates this September. It is working in partnership with Telford College on the four-year apprenticeships.
Darren Wilson, business programme manager at the college, said: “This is an exciting opportunity to learn about all aspects of calibration and repair of electronic, electrical and mechanical test equipment.
“The apprenticeship posts specialise in the electrical element of testing, as well as on the repair and maintenance side of equipment, focusing on dimensional measurement and torque.
“These are ideal positions for young people who have good communication skills, are adept at problem solving, and are able to work well in a team environment.”
Keysight Technologies is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of test and measurement equipment and suppliers of calibration services, with a global workforce of 10,000, and four UK sites.
The Telford base, which employs 135 staff, is a 44,000 sq ft facility with purpose-built individual laboratories.
