Published: December 5, 2017

Last week three members of The Guide Dog Association came to the college restaurant to taste the food and to absorb the atmosphere.

Fundraiser and speaker Lisa Wharton was accompanied by Mary Connor, community fund raiser and Dave Duve who is the organiser of Telford Guide Dogs. Orla the guidance dog joined them.

The purpose of their visit was to review the restaurant as a suitable venue to host a charity event in the New Year where guests will experience what it’s like to visit a restaurant as a blind person.

Lisa said: “The Orange Tree is a perfect venue for this event and we are looking forward to confirming details soon.”

Mary Connor added: “We are really glad the Orange Tree has reopened, it’s perfect for us and we are looking forwards to visiting again.”

Orla was very happy with the service too, lots of wagging took place and she is more than welcome to come again.
