New Students’ Day 2017

Record year for New Students’ Day at Telford College

On 13 July we saw a record number of students come along to meet their new teachers and peers with the whole college open with fun activities going on across all curriculum areas.

New Students’ Day gave our new students the opportunity to have a first hand experience of Telford College seeing what their course will be like and meeting the people they will be studying with for the next year.

Not forgetting the taster sessions we run throughout the year, it’s really important that our students know exactly what they have signed up for.

New student David Mellor explained “I was nervous about coming to a new place college but now I’ve come to New Students’ day, I can’t wait for September. I met some great people on Thursday and the facilities are nothing like we have in school.”

Sue Alder (admissions manager) added “We make New Students’ Day fun and exciting but we paint a real picture about life at Telford College, it will be fun, and we will push our students so they all achieve their goals with their courses and future careers.”

The college is open all summer for anyone still intending to join in September and enrolment starts on 24 August (GCSE results day).

And, it’s not too late for any late comers. If you have friends who don’t know what they’re doing in September yet they can still apply click here

Until then, have a great summer and we’ll be in touch again soon.
