Telford College takes centre stage in Telford’s transformation with cutting-edge ‘Station Quarter’ project

Telford’s dedicated Maths and Digital Skills Hub to ignite innovation and career opportunities.

Telford College is set to play a pivotal role in the new hi-tech facilities of Telford’s ‘Station Quarter’, as it plans to launch exciting new opportunities in the state-of-the-art Skills Hub in the heart of Telford town centre. This multimillion-pound initiative, undertaken in collaboration with Telford & Wrekin Council and key industry partners, marks a significant stride towards the regeneration of the Station Quarter.

The eagerly anticipated project represents an innovative alliance between education and industry, redefining the boundaries of traditional learning. The Skills Hub will house cutting-edge learning facilities alongside a ‘business incubator space,’ designed to nurture start-ups in the local digital sector.

The College are delighted to be involved in this unique and ambitious project. It signifies an key step towards raising aspirations and creating a bridge between education and industry. The Skills Hub is strategically positioned to enhance accessibility to education, offering a range of learning options tailored to meet the demands of the evolving digital landscape. With a focus on digital, IT, and maths skills, the courses will provide a pathway to lucrative careers in high-demand sectors such as cybersecurity, AI, robotics, visual and augmented reality, cloud computing, 5G innovation, and more.

The Station Quarter is set to offer an exciting range of programmes for students aged 16-18, as well as part-time programmes and apprenticeships, ensuring a flexible and comprehensive approach to learning.
