Adverse weather update

Last updated:08:30

Telford College is open today for students and staff (apart from certain areas listed below), where it is safe for you to travel.

We are closed to students in Willow Tree, Foundation or classified as high needs.

The college’s main priority is to ensure we have a safe warm space with food for students who are able to travel. Where students are unable to travel to college they should check their college email and Microsoft Teams to find details of remote learning and independent study.

Due to the adverse weather conditions the college has taken the decision to start a phased closure of the campus over the course of the afternoon.

  • Foundation and high needs students will leave campus from 12:30.
  • Student who live in further reaching areas such as Bridgnorth, Ironbridge, Oakengates, St Georges and Newport, where public transport is reduced, can leave campus from 13:30.
  • All other students are advised to leave campus from 14:30 and must be off campus by 15:30.
  • Evening classes on campus will not take place, and where possible these will be delivered remotely via Microsoft Teams – students will be contacted directly and should check for emails and SMS messages from the college.

We envisage the college will be open as usual tomorrow (Friday March, 10 2023) – please check our website for further details after 8am tomorrow morning.
