Welcome to our guide to career routes, guidance and events available at Telford College, brought to you by our school liaison team.
Telford College has been formed from the merger of Telford College of Arts and Technology and New College Telford – bringing together academic expertise, strong university links and a proud track record of working closely with employers to produce career-ready students.
Our school liaison team is dedicated to providing impartial and unbiased information, advice and guidance to young people within Telford and Wrekin and surrounding areas.
We aim to raise the aspirations of the young people we speak to as well as offering progression opportunities for students – whatever their goals in life.
We value our strong links with schools, training providers and career advisors across the region so we can support you to provide young people with in-depth knowledge to support them with their next steps.
The college’s mission is to significantly contribute to the economic development and regeneration of Telford and Wrekin, and the region as a whole. It is the college of choice for employers such as JLR, GKN and Epson as well as leading universities.
Students benefit from a well-planned curriculum which offers choice, flexibility and enables them to develop strong academic, vocational and employability skills.
SUPPORT FOR SCHOOLS
The college has supported us for a number of years with a wide range of activities including our Work Experience awards evening and Year 11 Conference. The schools liaison team are proactive and encourage our students to look at all of their post-16 options – not just Telford College. They’ve supported our students with developing soft skills such as interview techniques, employability and communication.
