New Telford College governors

Telford College is governed by a Corporation made up of experienced professionals with a wealth of local, national and international business expertise.

The Corporation plays a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the college.

Our governors oversee the strategic direction and pace of the college, ensuring it remains focused on delivering a high-quality and economically focused curriculum.

They have a passion for vocational and professional education and training, and a commitment to supporting the college’s ambition to build on its successes and use the strengths of collaborative working.

Governors give their time to Telford College for the benefit of the local community – but they also get something back in return.

Being a governor provides an opportunity to expand your knowledge, skills, experience and network of professional contacts, and can be incredibly rewarding.

The college is governed by a corporation (board of governors) set up under statutory instruments, the Education (government of further education corporations) Regulations 1992 as modified in 1999, 2001, 2007 and 2011.

The board, currently comprising 15 members, includes 8 independent governors, the principal and chief executive, 2 staff governors and 3 student governors.

The chair of the corporation is listed in the meet the governing body page. If you would like to discuss any aspect of corporation business, please contact our governance professional using the form below.
