What are industry placements?

Industry placements are the job experience part of a new qualification called T levels. This new training will be 80% training delivery and 20% job experience.

Industry placements give you an opportunity to impress an employer and apply your learning in their company.

Industry placements are a minimum of 315 hours. This can take place over a period of weeks, for example 1 or 2 days each week, or in block weeks, or both by arrangement with the company providing this for your benefit.

Study programme work placements

All students on all courses who are not completing an industry placement will need to find an opportunity to work with a local company for as many hours (at least 36) as they can. Gaining hours of work skills and experience is a great advantage to help you to succeed in your future plans.
