About the course

This technical qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed for working in the Engineering industry, which will prepare learners to enter the industry through employment or as an Apprentice. The structure of the qualification is designed to give learners the breadth of knowledge and understanding across the Engineering industry but also equips them with necessary occupational and core skills to enter the industry. This qualification is designed to support fair access and allows learners to manage and improve their own performance.

Additional information

T Levels are the new standard in technical education in England and are available to 16–19-year-olds upon completion of GCSEs. They are a two-year programme providing an alternative to apprenticeships and A Levels. T Levels are a level 3 qualification; one T Level is roughly equivalent to three A Levels.

T Levels have been developed with employers; employers continue to be involved by reviewing programme content and assessments regularly. This ensures T Level programmes equip learners with the skills and knowledge required to successfully join the workforce within their chosen industry
