Playwork – Level 3 Remote Diploma

About the course

This qualification covers the knowledge and skills needed when working unsupervised and requires the learner to demonstrate these in the workplace with children from 4-16yrs.  The Playwork Principles and Practice will be further explored as you progress through the units of work

Topics and units

Alongside your practical experience, some of the areas you will study include:

  • Understand Play and the Playwork Principles
  • Creating Supporting Environments for Children’s Play
  • Understand How to Support the Safeguarding of Children in the Playwork Setting
  • Understand Organisational Frameworks to Protect the Rights of Children
  • Understand Play and Wellbeing
  • Understand Relationships in the Playwork Setting
  • Understand Health, Safety and Security in the Playwork Setting

Entry requirements

  • Suitable for those with experience in the sector aged 19+
  • Someone with excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Level 4 or above in GCSE English
