About the course

Anyone applying for an Installation or Maintenance Electrician gold card for the first time will be required to sign up to Registered Electrician status and be qualified to the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Obtaining this qualification will ensure that you are knowledgeable about the latest industry regulations concerning the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems.

Specifically, it covers the 18th edition of the IET Wiring Regulations, which were implemented in June 2018 and are recognised as a British Standard (BS7671) by the British Standards Institute.

This qualification is designed for those seeking career progression in the Electrotechnical industry, providing the necessary skills to undertake job roles and associated responsibilities.
