This course is an ideal starting place if you have a love for cars and would like to have a technical career in automotive engineering. This qualification covers the basic technical skills you’ll need for today’s motor vehicle repair industry. The course includes practical aspects of light vehicles, construction and routine maintenance, operating principles of engines, tyres, brakes, steering and suspension, transmission system, and electrical/electronic systems. You will be continuously assessed throughout the course, this will involve both practical and theoretical aspects to enable you to complete unit assessments on-line and practical assessments at the end of each unit. Successful completion of this course can lead to the Certification in Vehicle Maintenance level 2.
