Our practical vocational qualifications include colouring techniques, cutting, blow drying, hair up, and perming.

Those signing up on an introductory course will get a basic grounding in the hair and beauty sector, learning how to present a professional image in a salon, basic shampooing and conditioning; plus colouring, styling, plaiting, twisting and the art of skin care.

We also offer units which look at the business side of hair and beauty, from promoting products and services to the running of a salon – and there are plenty of opportunities for work placements.

Did you know? Many of our students get the chance to compete against the best in the UK at the National Federation’s annual competition in Blackpool.
