Vice Principal – Curriculum & Teaching

Senior Post Holder

The role

  • The key purpose of the Vice Principal - Curriculum & Teaching is to provide strategic and operational leadership of curriculum, learning, teaching and assessment within the college: to work closely with directors, curriculum managers and other managers in ensuring effective operation of curriculum and quality systems to guarantee they are used to continuously improve learning and performance.
  • The Vice Principal - Curriculum & Teaching will be accountable for the strategic and operational leadership of support to the Principal in providing both strategic and day-to-day leadership for the college, working creatively in order to develop a high performing, supportive and challenging culture for both staff and learners, based upon the core values and college mission and vision.
  • The Vice Principal - Curriculum & Teaching will be the college lead for all aspects of curriculum management, teaching, learning and assessment across the college.

  • Salary: £90,000 plus relocation package (where applicable)

The role

  • This position of Assessor/Trainer is responsible for the quality delivery of Teaching, Learning and Assessment as part of a team of staff for the Telford College Employer Engagement provision provided by the College to the Business community.
  • The role requires the identification of skills need, delivery of high quality Teaching, Learning and Assessment and to be observed and appraised on an annual basis in accordance with the College and Awarding Bodies quality requirements.
