Telford College is holding a Saturday morning open event this month to showcase its wide range of adult education courses and apprenticeships.

The Haybridge campus will be open from 10.30am until 12.30pm on March 19 to offer advice and guidance, as well as question-and-answer sessions with course leaders, and campus tours.

Graham Guest, Telford College principal and chief executive, said: “It is great opportunity for people to see first-hand the industry-standard facilities which are here on their doorstep, and the widest range of courses in the county.

“Although we are particularly spotlighting our apprenticeships and adult education programme this time, staff will be on hand to talk about any aspect of our curriculum, and show you around the university-standard facilities.

“We want to help people find the right opportunity for their dream careers, and show them that it’s never too late to learn a new skill.

“Signing up for an apprenticeship is now the preferred training route among most employers for adult staff – and means you can start earning a salary and gaining qualifications, at the same time as doing something you love.

“For those who are out or work, an apprenticeship is a great way to get back into work – because there is no age limit.

“And don’t forget to also explore our adult part-time and professional courses: we have a wide range of qualifications which are perfect for career development.

“These include university-level, professional, maths and English and access to higher education courses, to name just a few.”

Mr Guest added: “We have a dynamic new curriculum and course guide which has been designed in close partnership with local employers.

“We are proud that our results place us in the top 10% of the UK’s education providers.”
