Telford College is holding a virtual open event next week to showcase its university-standard facilities and latest range of courses.
The event, from 6pm-8pm on January 20, includes in-depth looks at the college’s A level centre, vocational areas, plus apprenticeships, special educational needs and disability (SEND) provision.

Sue Alder, the college’s director of student services and marketing, said: “We’re all having to find different ways of staying in touch right now – and Telford College is no exception.
“Normally at this time of year, we would be opening our doors for an action-packed open event to showcase the new courses and facilities.
“But this year, since students still can’t come to us during the current lockdown . . . we’re bringing our open event to them instead!
“The aim is to offer impartial, practical advice and guidance to give a flavour of each subject area, from the skills and qualifications needed, through to the type of career paths that could open up.
“We will be explaining all about our blended learning timetable and what’s been done around the campus to make students feel safe in this Covid-19 world, and giving a taste of what Telford College life is all about.”
Anyone wanting to know more about a particular course after tuning in will be able to ask questions – and receive a downloadable pdf version of the college’s 2021-22 course guide.
After lockdown, Telford College will also be running a series of individual VIP tours, giving prospective students a chance to look round the campus and receive one-to-one help and support in a Covid-compliant environment.
