Chloe’s on the management path

Chloe Evans Management Path Telford College

A career in management beckons for a Telford College student who is looking forward to a bright future.

chloe evans | Business Chloe Evans, a former student of Idsall School in Shifnal, is on a Level 3 Business course at the college and has her sights set on a management role.

“I couldn’t recommend the business course more – before college I always tried to take the easy route. But now I’m pushed to achieve my best and for me, that was progressing from Level 2 Business Admin to Level 3 Business.

“Business is such a wide-ranging subject where you study everything from finance to event management, marketing and principles of management.

“It really helps you know what you would like to do in the future – for instance, I knew finance wasn’t for me, but being able to study a lot of areas has helped me to plan a career path.

“After my course, I’m now hoping to progress to Birmingham City University to study human resource management, with a view to working my way up to being a manager.”

Chloe said a lot of her success was a direct result of positive support from Telford College’s tutors.

“Without them, I don’t think I would have wanted to achieve and progress on to my current course.

“They are always in contact with us, even if we don’t have lessons, to check we are getting on ok with our work or to see if we need further help or support.

“Before coming to college, I was anxious as to what support I may or may not get, but the teachers have gone above and beyond.

“Telford College is a great place to help you discover yourself and you’re encouraged to absolutely be yourself. Even though my course is not outwardly creative, I still feel as though I can express myself which is great.”

Tutor Sam Bailey said: “Chloe has grown in confidence since she first started the business course. She was a pleasure to teach and has the capability to go far in her chosen career.”

More information about the latest Telford College business courses will be available at the open event from 5pm to 7.30pm on October 13. For details, see www.telfordcollege.ac.uk/open-events
