Free distance learning courses launched by Telford College
We have a new series of distance learning courses, allowing you to study in your own time, with no course fees.
Twenty different courses are listed on the new programme, including customer service, dementia care, team leading, information advice and guidance, counselling, and understanding nutrition and health.
With people living increasingly flexible lifestyles, we want to make sure that everyone has access to some form of learning.
By signing up for a distance learning course, learning is either available online or by correspondence, and there is no need for a you to attend college.
You’ll have a work pack posted to you. They use revision material supplied and do your own research to answer the questions in the packs.
The courses cover a broad spectrum, including health-related programmes such as awareness of mental health problems, care and management of diabetes, and working with people who have mental health issues.
The courses run for a maximum of 12 weeks. To qualify, you must be over the age of 19, and not in any other type of education. Although course fees are free, there are some small postage costs involved.
